How It Works

Who Qualifies and How to Get Started

Nutrition services are available automatically to children enrolled in our programs. No separate application is needed for meals.

What You Need to Know

  • CACFP meals are automatic. Every child enrolled in Head Start, Early Head Start, or First Step Childcare receives meals at no extra cost. No separate application required.
  • Sun Meals are open to Boys and Girls Club and other summer camp members. Children attending the Boys and Girls Club or other summer camps across Jackson County during the summer can receive free lunches.
  • Allergies and dietary needs are accommodated. Let your center staff know about any food allergies or special dietary requirements when you enroll.
  • USDA nondiscrimination applies. CASOMS complies fully with USDA nondiscrimination requirements in all nutrition programs.
