CASOMS operates two senior centers in Jackson County where adults 60 and older can enjoy daily activities, hot meals, and free transportation. No fees, no membership dues. Just show up and be part of the community.

What Our Senior Centers Offer

Everything you need to stay active, connected, and independent. All services are free for registered participants.

Daily Activities

Games, crafts, exercise classes, social events, educational programs, and more. Something different every day to keep you engaged and active.

Congregate Meals

Hot, nutritious meals served Monday through Friday. Prepared by Trio Food Service and designed to provide one third of your daily nutritional requirements.

Free Transportation

Door to door rides within Jackson County for active participants. All buses are wheelchair accessible with lifts and walker accommodations. Request 48 hours in advance.

How to Register

Registration is open to Jackson County residents age 60 and older. It is simple, free, and done in person at either senior center. Once registered, you have full access to all activities, meals, and transportation. Registration renews annually.

  1. Visit Either Senior Center

    Walk in during operating hours. No appointment needed. Staff will welcome you and walk you through the process.

  2. Complete a Consumer Information Form

    This short form collects your basic information, emergency contacts, and any special needs. Staff will help you fill it out if needed.

  3. Start Participating

    Once registered, you can join activities, enjoy meals, and request transportation right away. There is nothing else to sign up for.

What to Bring When You Register

  • Must be a resident of Jackson County
  • Picture ID
  • Current address information
  • Medicare and/or Medicaid card
  • Emergency contact name and phone number
  • List of current medications
  • Any mobility needs or dietary restrictions
  • Whether you will need transportation to and from the center

Transportation and Meals

Two essentials that make our senior centers work: you get there for free, and you eat for free.

Door to Door Rides

Free transportation is available for all registered participants. Our buses pick you up at your home and bring you back after the day's activities.

  • Call your center 48 hours in advance
  • All buses are wheelchair accessible
  • Lifts and walker accommodations on every bus
  • Drivers hold CDL with Passenger endorsement

Congregate Meals

A hot, nutritious meal is served every weekday at both centers. Meals are prepared by Trio Food Service and meet federal nutrition guidelines.

  • Served Monday through Friday
  • Provides 1/3 of daily nutritional requirements
  • No cost to participants
  • Donations accepted but never required
  • Dietary accommodations available on request
